About This Role
- Design, implement, and lead scalable backend services and APIs powering mobility payment systems across Europe and Asia Pacific.
- Own end-to-end feature delivery including driving architectural improvements, addressing technical debt, and enhancing service reliability.
- Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers while participating in cross-team technical planning and retrospectives.
Minimum Requirements
- 5–8 years of professional backend engineering experience.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and relational databases.
- Experience with AWS, Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD workflows, and distributed systems architecture.
- Work Experience Required: 5–8 years in backend software engineering.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in scalable backend service development with a focus on distributed and event-driven architectures (Kafka preferred).
- Proven leadership capability in software design discussions and mentoring technical peers.
- Comfortable working in a global product environment serving EU and APAC markets with end-to-end ownership of complex systems.
