About This Role
- Design, implement, and support enterprise-wide z/OS mainframe storage solutions ensuring scalability, availability, and performance.
- Administer and govern DFSMS/SMS environments including DASD and tape storage management, backup, migration, and disaster recovery operations.
- Lead storage-related projects such as hardware refreshes, data center migrations, z/OS upgrades, cloud integration, and act as highest-level technical escalation for complex storage incidents.
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Mainframe Storage Administration.
- Proficient in DASD and tape data storage solutions for mainframes, including DASD/tape configuration and migration.
- Working knowledge of z/OS Operating System, z/OS (MVS) fundamentals, storage fundamentals, TSO, ISPF, JCL, VSAM, REXX, and DFSMS components.
- Experience with storage monitoring tools (Omegamon XE or related), catalog management, CA products (CA Disk, CA allocate, CA-1), and ability to support mainframe production environment across multiple LPARs and DASD/VTS controllers.

- Comfortable working with global customer schedules including US, Europe, and Asia Pacific time zones with on-call responsibilities.
- Capable of leading storage modernization projects and providing mentorship while collaborating across infrastructure, application, security, and vendor teams.
