About This Role
- Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for UI, APIs, backend systems, and databases to ensure product quality.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to improve testing speed and reliability and contribute to a shift-left quality approach.
- Identify, document, track, and validate defects; enhance test coverage and automation efficiency including performance and security testing when applicable.
Minimum Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in QA, SDET, or software testing with focus on automation and quality engineering.
- Proficient in programming with Python, Java, or JavaScript and experienced with automation tools like Cypress, Playwright, or RestAssured.
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman), SQL for database validation, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience in working closely with developers and product teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Strong practical understanding of test automation frameworks and software testing fundamentals including functional, regression, integration, white-box, and black-box testing.
- Demonstrates ownership and a proactive approach to improving automation, identifying flaky tests, and automating repetitive manual processes.
