About This Role
- Administer, maintain, and optimize enterprise IBM mainframe z/OS environments ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
- Lead and execute z/OS upgrades, migrations, modernization initiatives, and manage software lifecycle including IBM and ISV products.
- Serve as highest technical escalation point for critical incidents, driving root cause analysis, risk mitigation, and service restoration.
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in Mainframe z/OS system programming, installation, configuration, maintenance, and support.
- Experience with z/OS 3.1 and IBM z16 hardware including system patches, SYSRES builds, PTF application, disaster recovery, and license updates.
- Willingness to provide 24/7 on-call support for system issues.
- Work Experience Required: 8+ years in mainframe z/OS environments.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in mainframe modernization projects and knowledgeable in disaster recovery models such as flip and stay.
- Proficient in troubleshooting system failures, performance issues, and managing system performance optimizations.
- Candidate with leadership or mentoring experience and familiarity with IBM z16 and z17 systems is preferred.
