About This Role
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-class z/OS storage solutions including DFSMS and SMS environments to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Lead strategic storage initiatives such as hardware upgrades, capacity planning, disaster recovery, modernization, and automation.
- Serve as highest technical escalation point for storage-related issues, provide expert guidance, manage monitoring, troubleshooting, and collaborate across teams to align storage services with business objectives.
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years experience in Mainframe z/OS system programming including installation, configuration, maintenance, and support.
- Proficiency with z/OS 3.1 and IBM z16 hardware including product maintenance, patches, upgrades, and disaster recovery drills.
- Experience with DFSMS, SMS, DASD capacity planning, VTOC, DFSMShsm, and related mainframe storage management and optimization.
- Willingness to provide 24/7 on-call support; working knowledge of GDPS and disaster recovery models; leadership experience not mandatory but preferred.

- Technical leader capable of managing enterprise storage architecture, mentoring junior staff, and driving automation initiatives using REXX, JCL, and system tools.
