About This Role
- Provide L1/L2 support and troubleshooting for Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, Amazon Linux) in a 24/7 production environment.
- Monitor infrastructure and application alerts, respond to incidents based on priority and SLA, and manage operational tasks including patching and maintenance.
- Write and maintain automation scripts (primarily Bash, some Python), maintain operational documentation, and participate in shift handovers in a rotational shift setup.
Minimum Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in Linux administration, infrastructure operations, NOC, or production support in a 24/7 environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux systems administration including RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or Amazon Linux and troubleshooting skills around CPU, memory, disk, network, and services.
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus/Grafana, Datadog) and ticketing platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Management).
- Ability and willingness to work rotational shifts including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in Linux operations within high-availability, production-critical environments requiring strict incident, change, and problem management (ITIL) adherence.
- Comfortable working under pressure with strong incident troubleshooting and communication skills, providing clear updates during incidents and shift handovers.
- Proficient in scripting for automation (Bash mandatory, Python preferred) and maintaining operational documentation, with exposure to cloud or virtualization environments as a plus.
