About This Role
- Develop and implement India-specific sourcing strategies for mechanical commodities in paper and packaging machinery.
- Manage supplier evaluation, onboarding, contract negotiations, and performance to enhance supply base quality, cost, and reliability.
- Analyze market trends and risks to drive cost savings, supply chain resilience, and strategic spend growth in the India region.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management.
- Minimum 10 years of direct material strategic sourcing experience, specifically with mechanical parts (fabricated, machined) in India.
- Experience in global multinational corporations (MNCs), preferably in capital equipment or machinery manufacturing.
- Proven expertise in supplier evaluation, negotiation, risk management, and spend analytics.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong domain expertise in mechanical commodity sourcing with demonstrated strategic impact on supply base development and cost optimization.
- Experienced working with cross-functional global and regional teams including procurement, engineering, quality, and finance.
- Proficient in leveraging ERP systems and sourcing platforms for data-driven decision making and supplier performance management.
