About This Role
- Lead design, development, and production operation of machine learning, LLM, and agentic AI solutions for learner products and internal workflows.
- Own reliability, cost, security, and performance of AI services; build evaluation and observability tooling for deployed models and systems.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to AI engineers, set engineering standards, and collaborate across teams to translate requirements into technical direction.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of software or machine learning engineering experience.
- 2+ years of substantial experience building and operating LLM-based or agentic systems in production.
- Strong Python skills and experience with ML libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn) and agent/LLM frameworks (e.g., Microsoft Agent Framework).
- Strong MLOps experience including CI/CD, container orchestration, infrastructure as code, and cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in leading technical decisions and mentoring engineers in AI or ML engineering environments.
- Background in architecting and deploying scalable, secure AI services incorporating agentic workflows and tool orchestration.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with product, design, and data science teams and translating ambiguous problems into practical, production-ready AI solutions.
