About This Role
- Lead engineering decision-making and execution plans for backend payment systems.
- Drive engineering best practices and maintain production system hygiene for owned areas.
- Manage team health, stakeholder communication, hiring, mentoring, and accountability for engineering outputs and business outcomes.
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience with at least 2 years in formal leadership roles.
- BTech, MTech, or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent).
- Proven experience designing and developing large-scale distributed systems and managing high-performing software teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in driving design and architecture of multiple subsystems collaboratively with senior members.
- Demonstrated success in fast-paced or startup environments.
- Strong track record in hiring, mentoring, and retaining engineering talent in backend/payment domains.
