About This Role
- Develop and maintain BMS application/control software models using MATLAB/Simulink and Stateflow with model-based code generation workflows.
- Develop and execute MIL, SIL, and PIL test strategies including automated test creation and execution to validate BMS software functions.
- Manage requirements and traceability, perform static code/model analysis, support software quality compliance, and develop automation scripts in MATLAB and Python.
Minimum Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in model-based development and BMS control software.
- Hands-on expertise with MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, Simulink Test Manager, Simulink Check, and embedded code generation (Embedded Coder desirable).
- Strong knowledge of BMS architecture and control algorithms including SOC/SOH estimation, cell monitoring, and protection mechanisms.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, Control Systems, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related engineering discipline.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in battery management systems within automotive, EV, hybrid vehicle, or energy-storage/BESS domains.
- Proficient in automated testing, static analysis tools (Polyspace/Parasoft), and requirements management tools (IBM DOORS).
- Familiarity with production code deployment, automotive communications (CAN/CAN FD), HIL testing, ISO 26262 functional safety, and CI/CD pipelines.
