About This Role
- Lead design, development, and deployment of Caterpillar's e-commerce digital products, building world-class software engineering teams in India.
- Manage multiple software engineers and pod leads; oversee end-to-end software lifecycle and complex projects impacting strategic business goals.
- Develop and implement engineering best practices, collaborate with product and project managers, and handle project prioritization and stakeholder management.
Minimum Requirements
- Four-year degree from an accredited college or university.
- 15+ years software design and development experience in Java/Scala or 10+ years with a master's degree.
- 3+ years managing cross-functional teams of 8 to 14 members.
- 5+ years experience with public cloud technologies like AWS or Azure; position requires onsite presence five days a week.

- Experienced leader in medium to large-scale software projects with significant strategic impact, especially in e-commerce or digital product domains.
- Strong technical expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and cloud deployments, with ability to guide architecture decisions for modernization.
- Proven capability in managing cross-functional teams, delivering scalable software solutions, and balancing technical leadership with business judgment in fast-paced environments.
