About This Role
- Develop and maintain shared Spring Boot microservices and libraries used across product teams, focusing on auth, async tasks, replication, and observability.
- Define and implement company-wide standards for service deployment, security, monitoring, and rollback within a multi-region GCP environment.
- Contribute to the architecture and operational excellence of a high-availability platform on GCP, including infrastructure automation, event sourcing, and incident response.
Minimum Requirements
- Proven deep production experience with Java and Spring Boot, including building shared platform libraries or Spring Boot starters used by multiple teams.
- Strong infrastructure and DevOps skills with public cloud platforms, preferably GCP, including Kubernetes (GKE), Helm, multi-region deployment, autoscaling, and rollback strategies.
- Proficiency with Terraform and PostgreSQL, including schema design, indexing, and managing migrations under load.
- Experience with event sourcing, asynchronous messaging, contract-first API design (OpenAPI), and production observability in GCP environments.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Technically hands-on senior individual contributor with deep expertise in Java-based platform and infrastructure engineering rather than management or leadership roles.
- Experienced in architecting and operating multi-region, high-availability cloud environments, with demonstrable ability to shape platform standards and cross-team collaboration.
- Comfortable documenting and communicating architectural decisions, design docs, and runbooks to raise engineering quality across teams, with experience in regulated or B2B SaaS domains preferred (IP/legal-tech an advantage).
