About This Role
- Architect and operate low-latency, fault-tolerant backend microservices integrating Indian payment methods and complex payment flows into Stripe's global API platform.
- Own end-to-end service health with 99.99% uptime including shadow rollouts, distributed tracing, automated failovers, and proactive alerting.
- Collaborate across global teams (Product, Regulatory, Risk, Partner Integration) to deliver seamless developer-facing APIs and mentor engineers on technical contributions.
Minimum Requirements
- 7+ years experience designing, implementing, and operating large-scale, high-performance APIs and services.
- Proficient in server-side API development using Ruby, Java, or Go with experience in Mongo and MySQL databases.
- Experience balancing speed, complexity, and scope to meet user needs along with strong communication skills.
- In-office expectation in Bengaluru, India includes 100% onsite work; specific attendance requirements may vary by role.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in building or operating large-scale financial systems or payments infrastructure, preferably in fintech.
- Skilled with distributed systems and complex microservices architectures.
- Proven ability to drive technical alignment across global, cross-functional teams.
