About This Role
- Own database performance engineering and optimization for MSSQL databases (2016-2022) on Azure SQL VM IaaS and Azure SQL Database environments.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks through query tuning and collaboration with application teams and stakeholders.
- Establish and enforce database design and code standards ensuring integrity, security, and high availability in production and DR environments.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field.
- 8+ years working with large MS SQL Server databases (2016-2022) in production environments, including hands-on Azure SQL experience.
- Expertise in performance tuning using tools like SolarWinds, Query Store, Extended Events and deep knowledge of SQL Server internals, encryption, HA, DR, replication.
- Work Experience Required: 8+ years in relevant database performance and administration roles.
