About This Role
- Lead design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise Azure Databricks environments including configuration, security, governance, and operational best practices.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and automate DevOps pipelines for repeatable, auditable platform deployments.
- Serve as technical authority providing leadership, mentoring, and driving platform modernization, governance, and integration within Azure cloud infrastructure.
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years relevant experience in cloud or platform engineering involving enterprise data platforms.
- 4+ years hands-on Azure Databricks administration and platform engineering experience with advanced capabilities beyond basic cluster management.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Azure including networking, storage, identity management, and security.
- Proven experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code, scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash), and CI/CD automation.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in leading multi-team enterprise data platform projects with ownership of architecture and operational standards.
- Expertise with Azure Databricks platform including Unity Catalog governance, compute policies, and emerging features like AI Gateway, Lakebase, and Delta Sharing.
- Capable of translating enterprise requirements into scalable, secure, automated platform solutions with a focus on operational excellence and cost optimization.
