About This Role
- Lead design and architecture of Walmart’s International Pricing platforms supporting multi-market, multi-billion-dollar retail operations.
- Develop and maintain Java/Kotlin microservices with a focus on scalability, resiliency, data accuracy, and operational excellence.
- Mentor engineers, drive technical decisions, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-impact pricing solutions.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
- 12+ years of software engineering experience building scalable distributed systems.
- Proficient in Java 17/21, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, Kafka, and cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, or AWS).
- Work Experience Required: 12+ years relevant software-engineering experience.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in designing and operating complex, large-scale retail or pricing platforms with strong domain knowledge of retail pricing concepts like EDLP and markdown optimization.
- Demonstrates technical leadership through architecture ownership, hands-on coding, and mentoring across teams.
- Able to balance immediate delivery demands with long-term platform sustainability and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
