About This Role
- Lead and manage a 50-person engineering organization responsible for video and metadata acquisition for YouTube OTT.
- Act as senior site lead in Bengaluru driving site maturity, recruiting, retention, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Own global OTT catalog quality by defining metrics, scaling engineering solutions, and driving automation and detection improvements.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of software development experience in languages like C, C++, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- 5 years in people management or team leadership roles.
- 5 years in technical leadership roles.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced managing large, distributed engineering teams in a matrixed environment, preferably in video/OTT or e-commerce domain.
- Proven ability to scale engineering operations from high-touch to self-serve models, leveraging AI and automation.
- Skilled at cross-functional leadership and partnership building with PM, UX, and product groups across global locations.
