About This Role
- Own end-to-end finance operations for Smallest.ai's India entity, including accounting accuracy, monthly close, billing, collections, payables, and reporting.
- Manage and review outsourced accounting partner’s work ensuring quality, timely delivery, and issue resolution.
- Build and document finance processes, maintain compliance coordination, and provide clear monthly MIS and financial insights to US parent and internal teams.
Minimum Requirements
- 4–7 years experience in accounting and finance operations; Chartered Accountant qualification preferred.
- Proven ownership of books and month-end close for an Indian private limited company.
- Hands-on experience with customer invoicing, collections, vendor payables, reconciliations, and MIS reporting.
- Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards including GST, TDS, e-invoicing; proficiency in Zoho Books or similar accounting software.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in managing outsourced accounting partners and maintaining intercompany reconciliations with a US parent company.
- Comfortable in a technology or SaaS environment with usage-based revenue recognition and handling complex billing scenarios.
- Operationally focused with strong detail orientation, problem-solving skills, and ability to set up scalable finance processes in a growing organisation.
