About This Role
- Drive reliability, resiliency, observability, and operational excellence for critical platform and application services adopting modern SRE practices.
- Lead moderately complex technical initiatives, plan large scale strategies, and oversee design, coding, testing, and deployment activities within the core platform domain.
- Act as escalation point, mentor less experienced staff, and resolve complex technical challenges to meet client and organizational needs.
Minimum Requirements
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent via work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Deep expertise in at least one platform domain (Database, Cloud, Network, Compute/Storage, Middleware, or Enterprise Application Support).
- Hands-on experience with SRE practices including SLI/SLO, error budgets, and reliability metrics.
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and experience with observability/monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Splunk, Prometheus).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in Systems Operations, SRE, Platform Engineering, or Production Support focused on platform stability and scalability.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve large-scale, distributed production systems and drive technical debt remediation.
- Skilled in mentoring or leading senior engineers, strong communication with engineering teams and leadership, and operating in hybrid on-prem/cloud environments.
