About This Role
- Lead the design and development of AI pipelines for processing and extracting key data from unstructured documents including multimodal classification (text and image).
- Build scalable systems for classification and automation of operational requests with defined confidence thresholds and human-in-the-loop review mechanisms.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define requirements, review code/designs, set engineering standards, and mentor AI engineers.
Minimum Requirements
- 6-10 years of software or machine learning engineering experience, including 2+ years focused on Generative AI and Document Parsing.
- Proficiency in Python, software engineering fundamentals (APIs, testing, Git, CI/CD).
- Experience with LLM APIs, document AI, OCR, email ingestion pipelines with attachment parsing, and production deployment on cloud with scalable, queue-based/event-driven architectures.
- Ability to manage data privacy and compliance for sensitive data; experience working with business users to explain technical designs.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced senior AI engineer familiar with AI-based document processing and multimodal classification pipelines in production environments.
- Candidate comfortable with technical leadership responsibilities including coding standards, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration with business teams.
- Experienced working with scalable cloud deployments and designing systems for accuracy, auditability, and operational resilience in data-sensitive domains, ideally with some exposure to insurance or financial services.
