About This Role
- Own and manage health, safety, security, and environmental performance for the Bangalore lab facility, ensuring compliance with statutory and process safety requirements.
- Lead HSSE governance forums, maintain the lab-specific HSSE plan, and oversee risk management including hazard assessments and management-of-change approvals.
- Drive incident investigations and emergency response, and ensure delivery of HSSE training and a strong site-wide safety culture across lab and facilities operations.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
- NEBOSH International General Certificate or Diploma mandatory; IOSH Managing Safely and PSM certifications desirable.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in HSSE roles within process, chemical, oil & gas, or industrial lab environments, including at least 3 years in a managerial/leadership HSSE role.
- Working knowledge of India-specific statutory HSSE regulations (Factories Act, PESO) and on-site presence in Bangalore or Pune required.

- Experienced leader capable of owning site HSSE risk registers, governance, and driving compliance in complex, high-hazard lab or industrial environments.
- Strong expertise in process safety management, risk assessment (HAZOP, HAZID), and incident investigation with regulatory compliance focus in Indian context.
- Operates with authority to enforce safety standards and stop unsafe work, collaborates cross-functionally with technical and facilities teams, and leads safety culture change.
