About This Role
- Own the scalability, security, and reliability improvements of Igloo's backend platform to support global expansion and AI-enhanced features.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, data scientists, and designers to define and implement product features aligned with platform architecture.
- Drive technical standards and optimize development efficiency through building tools, frameworks, and improving CI/CD and code hygiene.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in backend engineering roles; startup experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with AWS, RESTful/RPC services, and system programming languages such as C++, Java, or Golang; Golang experience preferred.
- Experience with NoSQL databases (Redis/MongoDB), message queues (Kafka/Kinesis), relational databases (MySQL), Docker, and CI/CD on AWS or GCP.

- Experienced in designing and delivering scalable, secure web services and backend systems supporting AI functionality.
- Comfortable working in cross-functional teams bridging product requirements and technical execution in a startup environment.
- Strong systems performance and scaling expertise with hands-on architecture design and willingness to quickly adopt new technologies.
