About This Role
- Lead and mentor a team of PLC software engineers through all software project lifecycle phases including requirements, development, testing, and deployment.
- Plan and manage software projects for assembly lines, test machines, and service projects, overseeing timelines, resources, quality, cost, and delivery.
- Develop, test, troubleshoot, review, and approve PLC software ensuring integration with mechanical and electrical designs, compliance with industry standards, and support commissioning at customer sites including travel.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical / Electronics; experience in Mechatronics is an added advantage.
- Minimum 8 years experience in machine building industry, including at least 2 years in supervisory role.
- Strong PLC programming skills on platforms such as Siemens, Bosch Rexroth, Beckhoff, Allen Bradley, Delta, Mitsubishi with proficiency in IEC61131 Structured Text, ladder logic, STL.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel domestically and internationally on short notice.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced leader with proven ability to manage a software engineering team in industrial automation contexts involving complex machinery.
- Expertise in software architecture, project engineering, and cost estimation for assembly and test machines.
- Hands-on knowledge of industrial automation systems integration including PLCs, servo drives, tightening controllers, MES, digital twins, robotics and vision systems.
