About This Role
- Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade DB2 subsystems including version migrations, data sharing environment setup, and disaster recovery planning.
- Manage DB2 performance optimization, resource consumption, and provide support during major incidents and performance issues.
- Integrate DB2 with core mainframe components such as z/OS, CICS, IMS, MQ, RACF, and storage platforms, while managing infrastructure availability and resiliency.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in DB2 for z/OS administration covering installation, configuration, data sharing, and SMP/E maintenance.
- Strong expertise in DB2 performance tuning, buffer pool optimization, SQL diagnostics, and utility operations (REORG, RUNSTATS, COPY, RECOVER).
- Experience with z/OS internals, disaster recovery planning, SMF/RMF analysis, and enterprise change/release management.
- Work Experience Required: 5 years in DB2 for z/OS Administration; No explicit mention of mandatory degree, notice period, or location requirements.
