About This Role
- Lead design, implementation, and management of complex, scalable, secure RDS database environments including High Availability, Availability Zones, Disaster Recovery, and Always-On configurations.
- Provide technical leadership, oversee troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions to ensure reliability and performance of Database services.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate across teams to maintain security compliance (SOX), platform scalability, and integration with business and 3rd party vendors.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of database administration experience with strong hands-on expertise in MongoDB (replica sets, sharding, aggregation, backup/restore, security).
- Experience with PostgreSQL administration including replication, vacuum/autovacuum tuning, indexing, backup and recovery.
- Preferred: Experience with Azure/AWS/On-Prem Microsoft SQL databases; Hybrid work model with Bangalore location; 30-day notice period preferred.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced technical leader capable of making architectural decisions and leading complex troubleshooting in cloud (AWS/Azure) RDS environments.
- Skilled in maintaining secure, compliant databases at scale, especially with MongoDB and PostgreSQL in production environments.
- Comfortable mentoring and guiding mid/junior DB engineers and working cross-functionally with engineering, QA, and product teams.
