About This Role
- Operate and support global Rubrik backup environment, including cluster management, health monitoring, and upgrades.
- Implement and expand Rubrik backup solutions across diverse workloads (VMware, physical servers, databases, NAS, cloud) to meet RPO/RTO objectives.
- Automate backup operations and reporting, coordinate recovery exercises, handle incidents through ITSM, and maintain backup documentation and mentoring.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 5+ years hands-on experience with Rubrik operations and implementation including CDM and SLA policy management.
- Experience protecting/restoring VMware, Windows/Linux physical servers, databases, and NAS using Rubrik.
- Strong understanding of backup/recovery concepts (RPO, RTO, retention, replication, immutability), storage (SAN, NAS, object), networking essentials (DNS, NTP, firewalls).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in multi-platform backup environments integrating on-premises and cloud workloads using Rubrik.
- Skilled in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python) for backup operations and API usage.
- Capable of cross-team coordination with storage, network, database, security, and application teams as well as handling compliance and audit requirements.
