About This Role
- Lead infrastructure engineering projects focusing on optical network technologies, including hardware, networking, and cloud infrastructure.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI tools to accelerate infrastructure analysis, design documentation, and automate remediation ensuring security and auditability.
- Drive cross-platform collaboration to modernize technology processes and resolve technical issues impacting resiliency and performance.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of applied experience with formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering concepts.
- Proven experience using enterprise-authorized AI tools for infrastructure engineering workflows with strong validation and data sensitivity awareness.
- Deep technical expertise in fiber-optic transmission, optical transport, Layer 1 and IP Layer 3 troubleshooting, DWDM/OTN technologies, and standard optical testing methods (e.g., OTDR, BERT).
- CCNA certification or equivalent with solid routing and switching knowledge plus deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in operating and migrating across public and private cloud infrastructure environments relevant to optical networking.
- Capable of assessing upstream/downstream technical impacts and advising on risk mitigation in complex projects.
- Demonstrates rigorous validation of AI-assisted recommendations ensuring alignment with resiliency, security, and audit standards in large-scale infrastructure settings.
