About This Role
- Architect and lead the 3-5 year technical vision for the enterprise Data Lakehouse platform.
- Build internal SDKs, CLI tools, and orchestration frameworks to simplify cloud infrastructure for data engineers.
- Lead R&D efforts to innovate platform performance, security, governance, and code quality across large-scale distributed systems.
Minimum Requirements
- 15+ years software engineering experience including 4+ years in principal or staff-level platform roles.
- Expertise in Java/J2EE (Spring Boot, Microservices) and Python for high-performance backend development.
- Deep knowledge of Data Lakehouse technologies such as Apache Iceberg, Hudi, or Delta Lake.
- Experience with cloud architecture and services (AWS, Azure), CI/CD tooling, Terraform, and modern dev tools.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Senior backend/software engineer specialized in scalable distributed systems and big data platform engineering.
- Experienced in both deep system architecture and building data-centric platform APIs rather than just ETL workflows.
- Proven ability to influence cross-team technology adoption and communicate complex architectural decisions to technical and executive stakeholders.
