About This Role
- Lead development of full stack features and APIs for Northern Trust's online banking platform within an agile, cross-functional team.
- Design, build, and maintain Java Spring Boot microservices and ReactJS/Angular front-end components integrating with databases and messaging platforms (Kafka, JMS).
- Ensure code quality via unit/integration testing, automation, code reviews, and collaborate on continuous improvement of technical solutions.
Minimum Requirements
- 7 to 12+ years experience with Java Spring Boot microservices and Hibernate/ORM.
- Strong skills in Java batch processing, REST and SOAP services, web application security, and modern JavaScript frameworks (React or Angular).
- Experience with relational databases and PL/SQL; familiarity with unit testing frameworks like JUnit, Jasmine, Jest.
- Exposure to tools like JIRA, Bitbucket, GitHub, Confluence; understanding of Domain Driven Design, cloud design principles, and UNIX/Linux scripting.

- Experienced full stack developer adept at building scalable, secure financial applications using Java and modern front-end frameworks.
- Comfortable working in agile, collaborative team environments involving code reviews, pair programming and evolving platform design.
- Technically proactive with knowledge of continuous integration, automation, and emerging technologies relevant to banking software platforms.
