About This Role
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable AI systems and services within Teradata’s AI platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end AI-enabled features including RESTful API integration and database modeling.
- Mentor engineers and influence AI product roadmap and engineering best practices.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 5+ years experience in backend services, distributed systems, or data platform development.
- Proficiency with Java, Go, or Python; experience developing RESTful APIs and with SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Experience with containerization/orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes) and knowledge of public cloud platforms.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven ability to independently drive workstreams and deliver high-quality backend services in complex, scalable environments.
- Experience experimenting with or implementing AI/ML technologies including Agentic AI and large language models (LLMs).
- Demonstrated track record mentoring engineers, influencing design decisions, and shaping engineering best practices in AI-driven product development.
