About This Role
- Architect and lead the technical roadmap for the enterprise data lakehouse platform, defining interaction between storage, compute, and metadata layers.
- Develop internal SDKs, CLI tools, orchestration frameworks, and automate control planes to abstract cloud complexity and boost engineering velocity.
- Lead prototyping, benchmarking, governance/security architecture, and set company-wide standards for data platform system quality and performance.
Minimum Requirements
- 15+ years software engineering experience with distributed systems, including 4+ years in principal or staff-level platform roles.
- Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot, Microservices) and Python for high-performance system development.
- Deep expertise with Data Lakehouse technologies such as Apache Iceberg, Hudi, or Delta Lake and contribution/customization experience with open-source projects (e.g., Spark, dbt).
- Experience with cloud platforms AWS and Azure, CI/CD tooling, Terraform, Git Actions, and automation; Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or equivalent.

- Senior engineer with strong background in backend systems and big data platform architecture, comfortable bridging technical details with strategic business goals.
- Experience leading cross-team architectural initiatives and influencing adoption of complex technical solutions across diverse engineering groups.
- Operator skilled in building scalable, extensible data platform frameworks emphasizing automation, developer self-service, and compliance-by-design in large-scale distributed environments.
