About This Role
- Lead and manage a team of data engineers driving design, development, and operation of scalable Databricks Lakehouse solutions.
- Establish and enforce engineering standards, reusable frameworks, and secure, governed data pipelines ensuring operational reliability and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into reliable data solutions and optimize workloads for performance and scalability.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Data Science, or related field.
- Significant professional experience in data engineering including leadership or management of data engineering teams.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Databricks, Apache Spark/PySpark, Delta Lake, SQL, Python, ETL/ELT, data pipeline development and orchestration.
- Work Experience Required: Significant professional experience in data engineering with leadership responsibilities.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in implementing Medallion Architecture, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring and controlled deployment in cloud data platforms.
- Demonstrated capability in establishing engineering standards, conducting design and code reviews to ensure system resilience and maintainability.
- Knowledgeable in data governance, security, privacy, and roles-based access control within large-scale, production-grade data solutions, preferably on Azure ecosystem.
