About This Role
- Lead and own complex, end-to-end technical initiatives across multiple teams impacting Walmart's digital retail ecosystem including store and omni-channel customer journeys.
- Drive architecture, design, and delivery of scalable backend and cloud-hosted solutions using Core Java, Azure Cloud, and modern AI-native technologies (LLMs, RAG, semantic search).
- Provide hands-on technical leadership from problem discovery through deployment and continuous improvement, influencing standards and mentoring without direct authority.
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years experience in designing and developing scalable applications, platforms, or distributed systems.
- Strong hands-on expertise in system design, architecture, backend and cloud technologies including RESTful services, microservices, APIs, and CI/CD.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or related area with minimum 4 years software engineering experience OR 6 years experience without degree.
- Location requirement: Must be based in or able to work from Chennai office.
