About This Role
- Manage L3 installation, configuration, and maintenance of Veritas NetBackup and Commvault backup infrastructure.
- Ensure backup service stability by resolving incidents, performing changes, and conducting regular recovery and disaster recovery tests.
- Plan and execute software upgrades, hardware diagnostics, migrations, and patch management for NetBackup appliances and related backup platforms.
Minimum Requirements
- 10 years of hands-on experience with Veritas NetBackup and Commvault administration.
- Strong Linux administration and scripting skills (shell, Python, or Puppet).
- Experience with Veritas appliances, Data Domain appliances, and integration of Oracle SQL, ESX, NDMP with NetBackup.
- Work Experience Required: 10 years in relevant backup infrastructure roles.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in managing complex backup platform maintenance and aligned with organizational security standards.
- Proficient in diagnosing performance and security issues within backup systems and related infrastructure such as SAN and TCP/IP networking.
- Capable of translating functional requirements into production-grade technical specifications in a large-scale banking IT environment.
