Job description
Structured overview of role & requirements
About This Role
- Lead end-to-end design, validation, deployment, and lifecycle management of production-grade classical machine learning models addressing business problems.
- Partner with stakeholders to define measurable ML problem statements and ensure solutions meet performance, interpretability, latency, scalability, and cost criteria.
- Own post-production model performance including drift detection, monitoring, retraining, and apply explainability and responsible AI practices.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years experience in data science or machine learning, including 3+ years owning production ML solutions.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related quantitative field.
- Advanced skills in Python and SQL with experience in libraries like NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn and solid knowledge of classical ML algorithms (classification, regression, clustering, forecasting).
- Practical experience with MLOps including deployment, CI/CD, version control, experiment tracking, Docker, and model monitoring.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in handling complex ML use cases independently with strong technical ownership from problem framing through production adoption.
- Demonstrates disciplined methodology using CRISP-DM and makes informed trade-offs balancing accuracy, interpretability, latency, and cost.
- Capable of mentoring peers, setting technical standards, conducting reviews, and advancing enterprise ML practices with focus on responsible AI and maintainability.
