About This Role
- Design and build Azure-native cloud infrastructure and platform capabilities, focusing on migration from on-prem data centers to Azure with managed services emphasis.
- Lead technical execution of cloud migration, including dependency mapping, sequencing, and risk management, plus operate and extend AKS-based platform with GitOps and policy enforcement.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers technically through code/design reviews, pairing, and setting direction by example; own reusable Terraform modules and observability systems.
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years in platform, infrastructure, or site reliability engineering with demonstrated Principal-level technical leadership (without formal management).
- Deep hands-on Azure experience with cloud native architectures using managed services, and production Kubernetes operation experience (ideally AKS).
- Strong GitOps expertise and experience in data center to cloud migrations including business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
- Proficiency with policy-as-code tooling, Identity and Access Management for workload identities and secrets management, Terraform module design, observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana), and use of AI-assisted development tools.

- Experienced individual contributor who drives technical execution and mentorship without direct reports, comfortable shaping platform architecture across infrastructure and security.
- Strong bias toward cloud native Azure environments with expertise in GitOps workflows and automated compliance enforcement.
- Able to translate complex technical tradeoffs for engineering and business stakeholders, with practical insight into AI-assisted engineering tooling integration.
