About This Role
- Lead technical delivery including hands-on backend development, architecture alignment, and quality improvements.
- Design, implement, and own reliability of backend services focusing on correctness, performance, and observability.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams on requirements, trade-offs, code review, mentoring, and process improvements.
Minimum Requirements
- 4+ years professional experience shipping production backend services in Java or equivalent JVM stack.
- Strong skills with PostgreSQL (schema design, migrations, indexing, transaction management) and caching technologies like Redis.
- Experience with cloud deployment and operations on AWS or similar, Docker, CI/CD, and observability tooling (metrics, logging, tracing).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced backend engineer comfortable with service integrations, API design, and complex reliability challenges.
- Able to lead smaller technical initiatives and mentor peers through code review and design discussions.
- Familiar with scalable, high-QPS backend environments and modern deployment practices including Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code (preferred but not required).
