About This Role
- Lead end-to-end Record-to-Report (RTR) accounting and controllership activities for Warner Bros. Discovery's Hyderabad center, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial close and reporting processes.
- Drive transition, stabilization, and scaling of accounting activities insourced from other regions, including process standardization, internal controls, audit readiness, and operational governance.
- Manage and develop a controllership team (~12 members including 2 managers), and partner closely with Controllership, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and GBS to deliver high-quality financial outcomes and continuous process improvements.
Minimum Requirements
- Professional accounting qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or equivalent required.
- Minimum 15+ years progressive accounting, controllership, and financial reporting experience, including at least 5 years in supervisory roles.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SOX compliance, intercompany and foreign currency accounting, and experience managing large multinational controllership teams.
- Work location: Hyderabad, India; normal working hours 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. IST Monday to Friday; flexibility to work outside these hours as needed.

- Experienced senior controllership leader with deep technical accounting expertise and proven ability to lead large teams in complex, matrixed multinational organizations.
- Demonstrated competency in leading finance transition projects, process standardization, ERP/systems implementations, and driving operational discipline in Record-to-Report functions.
- Strong stakeholder management skills to influence senior finance and business leaders globally; adept at balancing technical accounting depth with practical business partnership.
