About This Role
- Own end-to-end technical design and implementation of backend integration components, including REST/SOAP API clients, OAuth2/SAML authentication flows, and provisioning/sync jobs.
- Ensure resilience and scalability of integrations using retry/backoff, rate-limiting, and error handling strategies across numerous third-party vendor APIs.
- Collaborate with product management and technical teams to prioritize features, resolve production issues, participate in on-call rotations, and improve operational observability.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of experience building and operating production-grade backend services.
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, with experience owning services from design through production support.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, OAuth2/SAML authentication protocols, asynchronous job processing, and relational databases (e.g., MySQL) with caching (Redis or similar).
- B.E./M.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced backend engineer with strong distributed systems and resilient system design skills, comfortable handling complex third-party API integrations at scale.
- Capable of working across backend and frontend (React, JSP) to independently deliver integration configuration interfaces.
- Skilled in production troubleshooting, operational excellence, and collaborating cross-functionally with product managers and support teams.
