About This Role
- Develop, modify, and support software systems for manufacturing, reliability, and R&D processes at First Solar.
- Integrate shop floor manufacturing systems with custom and off-the-shelf software solutions.
- Provide hyper care and expert-level global support for manufacturing applications and assist IT administrators in troubleshooting enterprise problems.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology with 4 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience as specified.
- 3–6 years overall experience including 4+ years in manufacturing systems or software development using Microsoft .NET technologies.
- 6+ months of experience with manufacturing control systems, shop floor automation, PLCs, or OPC data transfer.
- Required technical skills: .NET/C#, Entity Framework, MS SQL/PostgreSQL, Azure DevOps, Git/GitHub, RabbitMQ/MSMQ, React, Vibe Coding/Agentic Coding.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in developing and supporting manufacturing execution or shop floor control software with multi-tier architecture.
- Skilled in integrating complex systems within manufacturing environments and supporting enterprise-level manufacturing applications.
- Comfortable working with Agile development lifecycle and collaborating with cross-functional IT support teams globally.
