About This Role
- Own the architecture and technology strategy for a large enterprise-scale SaaS platform and Agentic AI initiatives, influencing multiple engineering teams and product pillars.
- Define and drive a 3-5 year architecture roadmap aligned with company strategy, ensuring platform scalability, reliability, security, and cost efficiency.
- Lead architecture governance, build-versus-buy decisions, technical risk management, and mentor principal-level engineers without managing direct reports.
Minimum Requirements
- 15+ years in software engineering with at least 5 years in an architect or principal-level role in a product company, ideally SaaS.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related technical field.
- Deep expertise in cloud-native systems, distributed computing, microservices, modern data architectures, and applied AI components such as LLM orchestration and RAG pipelines.
- Location: Must be willing to work onsite in Pune 3-4 days per week.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in defining and steering architecture at scale for SaaS platforms, influencing 50+ engineers across multiple teams or platform areas.
- Hands-on engineering background with recent activity in coding, design reviews in Java, Python, Scala, Go, or Node.js, and practical AI system design experience.
- Skilled in building consensus and aligning cross-functional stakeholders including executives, product and engineering leadership, with a strategic and data-driven mindset.
