About This Role
- Plan, design, and develop software systems and applications from concept to production including middleware and cloud-based programs.
- Develop, test, debug, and document software, collaborating with architects, product managers, and end-users.
- Manage products/systems/projects with limited supervision, coach and review work of junior professionals, and solve moderately complex IT problems.
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years professional experience in PHP development with large enterprise codebases and legacy modernization to Laravel.
- Strong proficiency in PHP 8+, Laravel, RESTful APIs, SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean architecture.
- Experience with full-stack development (Blade templates, Vue.js or React), MySQL, PHPUnit testing, and development tools like Azure DevOps, Git, PhpStorm/VS Code.
- Work Experience Required: 8+ years professional PHP development experience.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in modern PHP development with a strong background in legacy system modernization and integration with third-party systems/APIs.
- Able to work independently with ownership mindset, drive ambiguous tasks to resolution, and communicate technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiar with microservices architecture, AI coding assistants for development acceleration, and domain experience in insurance, brokerage, financial services, e-commerce, or content management is a plus.
