About This Role
- Manage and maintain enterprise firewall solutions (Checkpoint, Fortinet, Palo Alto, cloud) including installation, upgrades, patching, migrations, and decommissioning.
- Administer hardware and virtual firewalls across hybrid public cloud environments, implement security policies and troubleshoot routing/network connectivity issues (BGP, OSPF, VPN).
- Develop automation and scripts to streamline firewall operations, support incident response, audits, and participate in 24x7 on-call rotations.
Minimum Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on firewall engineering experience on at least one major platform (Checkpoint, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or cloud firewalls).
- 3+ years of formal training or applied experience in infrastructure engineering concepts.
- Proficiency with scripting/automation tools like Python, Ansible, Terraform and strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
- Experience with Linux OS and command-line troubleshooting; demonstrated ability to use enterprise-authorized AI for infrastructure engineering workflows.

- Experienced in managing complex, large-scale enterprise firewall infrastructures with comprehensive knowledge of security and networking concepts.
- Skilled in automation, infrastructure-as-code, and integrating firewall management into CI/CD and change management processes.
- Capable of validating AI-generated recommendations related to resiliency, security, and compliance and mentoring junior engineers.
