About This Role
- Design, develop, verify, validate, debug, and qualify software for controllers and computers within the Controls group, influencing hardware-software integration.
- Manage software product lifecycle including maintaining comprehensive design documentation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, firmware, and systems engineers for product development, integration, debugging, and qualification across Lam's equipment portfolio.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- 3 to 8 years of experience in software design and development.
- Expertise in creating Golden OS images for Windows-based controllers using Windows PE and Ghost; experience with real-time operating systems (e.g., FreeRTOS, real-time Linux, VxWorks, QNX, Windows Embedded).
- Knowledge of bootloaders/boot managers (GRUB, U-Boot) and communication protocols (EtherCAT, CAN, UART, RS-232, RS-422/485, Ethernet TCP/UDP, LonWorks); experience with Git and strong debugging skills.

- Comfortable managing full software lifecycle including documentation and qualification in complex, real-time system environments.
- Skilled in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis with proficiency in diverse communication protocols and real-time OSes, prepared to contribute to semiconductor equipment software tools.
