About This Role
- Design, develop, verify, validate, debug, and qualify software for controllers and computers managed by the Controls group.
- Manage the software product lifecycle including comprehensive design documentation.
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and systems engineers for product development, integration, and qualification.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- 3 to 8 years of experience in software design and development.
- Expertise in creating Golden OS images for custom Windows-based controllers using Windows PE and Ghost.
- Experience with real-time operating systems (FreeRTOS, real-time Linux, VxWorks, QNX, Windows Embedded) and knowledge of bootloaders (GRUB, U-Boot).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in low-level software development for embedded controllers, including real-time OS and bootloader environments.
- Strong cross-disciplinary collaborator capable of working closely with hardware, firmware, and systems teams.
- Skilled in debugging, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and managing full software product lifecycle documentation.
