Job description
Structured overview of role & requirements
About This Role
- Own end-to-end quality validation for machine learning models processing satellite imagery, geospatial, and weather data, including training data, inference pipelines, and production performance.
- Develop version-aware regression testing pipelines comparing outputs across model versions with clear go/no-go criteria for releases.
- Design and automate tests for data quality, inference service scalability, API contracts, and data pipelines, using logs and metrics to identify issues rapidly.
Minimum Requirements
- 8–10 years of software testing and test automation experience with backend systems.
- Strong backend automation skills in Java + RestAssured or Python + pytest.
- Experience testing ML applications, including model behavior, data quality, inference pipelines, and regression testing of model-backed features.
- Proficiency in SQL or NoSQL databases, CI/CD pipeline experience (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions), and performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Senior QA engineer with deep ownership of backend system quality and ML model validation.
- Experienced in distributed backend systems design, cloud infrastructure (AWS), Kubernetes, and observability (logs, metrics, traces).
- Practically uses agentic AI development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude) to accelerate test design and automation without sacrificing quality.
