About This Role
- Own end-to-end data testing strategy for data pipelines from ingestion through medallion-layer transformation to BI/reporting consumption.
- Design, execute, and automate complex ETL/ELT validation, reconciliation, and data quality checks using SQL, PySpark, and data quality frameworks.
- Lead data testing deliverables for the workstream including reusable validation libraries, defect management, and mentoring junior testers.
Minimum Requirements
- 4-6 years of hands-on data testing/automation experience with ETL, Data Warehouse, or Big Data testing.
- Proven experience with Databricks/Spark in a medallion or layered Lakehouse architecture.
- Strong proficiency in SQL (Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, Databricks) and PySpark for data validation and automation scripting.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure storage, and validation through BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced with defining and owning test strategies independently in Agile/SDLC environments including defect lifecycle management.
- Able to build and maintain reusable, parameterized SQL validation libraries integrated into CI/CD pipelines for automated regression testing.
- Strong domain knowledge in data architecture and quality standards with a quality-first mindset that proactively challenges data integrity risks.
