About This Role
- Manage and ensure availability, stability, and performance of IBM CICS transaction processing systems on z/OS in a 24x7 mainframe production environment.
- Perform installation, configuration, upgrades, and system administration for CICS software including resource definitions and startup procedures.
- Troubleshoot production incidents using dumps, traces, logs; support application teams; manage change controls, disaster recovery testing, and on-call rotations.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting IBM CICS Transaction Server environments with strong knowledge of z/OS operating system.
- Proficient in CICS architecture, region management, Resource Definition Online (RDO), and system initialization.
- Experience in production troubleshooting using CICS dumps, traces, logs, and performance metrics in high-volume environments.
- Work Experience Required: Minimum 5 years in mainframe CICS support and system administration.

- Experienced in managing high-availability 24x7 mainframe environments with operational discipline in change, incident, and problem management processes.
- Skilled in collaboration with cross-functional teams including z/OS, DB2, MQ, storage, network, and security specialists to ensure system stability.
- Familiarity with CICS performance monitoring and tuning tools such as IBM OMEGAMON, CICS PA, MainView, and knowledge of related middleware and security (RACF).
