About This Role
- Lead end-to-end engineering of AI and agentic workflows from architecture and PRD to production, including evaluation and iteration.
- Build and maintain a reusable component library for internal and partner use to reduce cost and cycle time for successive workflows.
- Ensure production readiness with focus on latency, cost, observability, failure handling, and operational support of AI systems.
Minimum Requirements
- 6+ years professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years building and operating production LLM or Generative AI systems.
- Proficient in Python and competent in at least one of TypeScript, Go, or Java.
- Experience with production retrieval systems (RAG or hybrid search) and agent orchestration frameworks.
- Strong AWS and/or GCP cloud experience including managed AI services, plus expertise in API design, enterprise integration, containerization, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and testing discipline.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced in building and operating production-scale AI systems with measurable quality, latency, and cost controls.
- Capable of setting engineering standards, mentoring engineers, and reviewing third-party code for maintainability and quality.
- Comfortable working in ambiguous, early-stage functions interfacing closely with functional specialists and architects to deliver business-impacting AI workflows.
