About This Role
- Own engineering execution for new client implementations and corporate action changes on the Defined Benefits Calculation Engine, ensuring accurate, compliant pension calculations.
- Develop and lead high-performing engineering teams with deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, cloud, and pension benefit domains.
- Drive adoption of modern engineering practices (cloud-native, DevOps, event-driven architectures) and maintain high standards for platform reliability, performance, and regulatory compliance.
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with strong agile delivery and CI/CD practice.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
- Strong Java and Spring Boot expertise, experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure), Kubernetes, and containerization.
- Domain knowledge of Defined Benefits pension calculations or related financial calculation systems is required.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experienced engineering leader skilled at managing complex calculation-intensive platforms in regulated financial or pension domains.
- Proven ability to translate complex actuarial, plan provisions, and regulatory rules into robust, testable engineering solutions.
- Strong collaborator capable of partnering with architects, SRE, product teams, and pension consultants to align on strategy and execution.
